Digital Accessibility for Teaching

What is digital accessibility? How can instructors and students make digital content (e.g. PDFs, slide presentations) and spaces (e.g. Zoom, Canvas) more accessible to participants with disabilities and range of access needs? In this interactive synchronous workshop, participants will be introduced to principles, standards, and best practices of digital accessibility. As a result of attending this workshop, participants will be able to define and apply digital accessibility principles, implement practices to make synchronous meetings and classes more accessible, and take steps to make course materials accessible according to published standards. Facilitated by Dr. Stephanie Rosen (UM Library) and Dr. Kate Livingston (CRLT).
